Noonlight, Inc. is a provider of personal safety, emergency response technology and related services. We care about your safety and value the trust you place in us. We know that you are sharing information which is important to you and want to be transparent about how we use it.

In this privacy policy (“Policy”), we describe the privacy practices for our applications (“Apps”), software, website (“Site”), APIs, and services (collectively, the “Service”).  If you do not agree to the terms of this Policy, please do not use our Service.


When you use our Service, we collect information in a number of ways:

Information You Choose to Give Us
In order to provide our service, we must collect information that you choose to share with us. Our service requires you to set up an account so that we can get you help if you ever need it. We need to collect details such as: your name, unique user name, email address, mailing address, telephone number, other contact and demographic information, password, phone number, and payment information. You may choose to electively provide us certain additional information. Personal and demographic information may also be collected if you provide such information in connection with speaking with one of our dispatchers upon triggering an alarm, contacting customer support or if you communicate with us in any other way.

Information We Obtain When You Use Our Service
When you use the Service, we will automatically collect certain information, such as your device type and Internet Protocol address, your operating system, the browser type, the address of a referring web site, your activity on the Site, and device ID for your mobile device. We also may collect information about your use and activity on the Site and through the Apps. We treat this information as personal information if we combine it with or link it to any of the identifying information mentioned above. Otherwise, it is used in the aggregate only.

In order to provide our Service, we must collect information about your location. By using our Service, you grant us permission to collect information about your precise location using methods that include GPS, wireless networks, cell towers, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth access points, and other sensors, such as gyroscopes, accelerometers, and compasses.

Third parties may also use cookies, web beacons or other devices to collect information when you use the Service. Noonlight does not control any cookies or other data collection tools that may be placed on the Service or Apps by a third party, and this Privacy Policy does not cover the use of such cookies and/or other data collection tools by any third party. We encourage you to read the privacy policies of such third parties to find out more about the information that may be collected by them and the choices you have regarding the collection, use and sharing of such information.

Information Received From Third Parties
If you choose to connect your account on our Service to your account on another service, we may receive information from the other service. For example, if you connect to Apple Health or Amazon’s Alexa system, we may receive information like your name, email address, and health and safety information, which may include biometric data. You may also choose to grant us access to your health and safety data from another service. You can stop sharing the information from the other service with us by removing our access to that other service.

Health Information
Our Service does not require health information. To the extent that you directly or indirectly provide us with information which is deemed to be health information or another special category of information, by using our Service you are authorizing us to share it with emergency responders. If you do not wish for us to have access to your health information, do not provide it.


Provide and Maintain the Service
Using the information we collect, we are able to provide the Service to you under the Terms of Use contract with you.
We will use information we collect to:

  • Contact you in the case you trigger an alarm;
  • Contact and dispatch public safety authorities to your location, if needed;
  • Share with public safety authorities any information that you have provided us, including health information, directly or indirectly, through a third party;
  • Respond to your emails, questions, inquiries, comments, requests, and complaints in providing customer service;
  • Send you confirmations, updates, security alerts, and support and administrative messages, to detect and prevent fraud, and to otherwise facilitate your use of, and our administration and operation of, the Site and the Apps;
  • Notify you about important changes to our Site and the Apps; and
  • Fulfill any other purpose to provide the Service.

Third Parties
If you subscribe to our Service, you are authorizing us to share information with relevant public safety authorities, such as police, fire, EMT and other emergency responders. In addition, we may share information:

  • You direct us to disclose to others;
  • With vendors, consultants, and other service providers who are engaged by or working with us in connection with the operation of the Site, the Apps or the Service we provide and who need access to such information to carry out their work for us;
  • With law enforcement, when you give us your consent to do so, in connection with an investigation;
  • With others if we believe in good faith that we are lawfully authorized or required to do so or that doing so is reasonably necessary or appropriate to comply with the law or legal processes or respond to lawful requests or legal authorities, including responding to lawful subpoenas, warrants, or court orders;
  • With others if we believe in good faith that we are lawfully authorized or required to do so or that doing so is reasonably necessary or appropriate to protect the rights, property, or safety of Noonlight, our users, our employees, copyright owners, third parties or the public, including without limitation to protect Noonlight or our users from fraudulent, abusive, inappropriate, or unlawful use of our Site and the Apps; and
  • To enforce or apply this Policy, our Terms of Use, or our other policies or agreements; in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing or acquisition, or in any other situation where information may be disclosed or transferred as one of the business assets of Noonlight.

Nothing herein restricts the sharing of aggregated or anonymized information, which may be shared with third parties without your consent. This can include a device ID and/or usage information that is not connected to personal information. This Policy in no way restricts or limits our collection and use of aggregate information.

Improvise, Personalize, and Develop the Service
We use disaggregated information we collect to improve the Service to:

  • Troubleshoot and protect against errors;
  • Perform data analysis and testing;
  • Conduct research;
  • Personalize and improve the Service and users’ experiences, to increase the functionality and user friendliness of the Site and the Apps;
  • Monitor and analyze Site and Apps usage and trends and otherwise measure the effectiveness of the Service; and
  • Develop new features.


The Service may contain links to other websites. Any personal information you provide on linked pages or applications is provided directly to that third party and is subject to that third party’s privacy policy. This Policy does not apply to such linked sites, and we are not responsible for the content or privacy and security practices and policies of these websites or any other sites that are linked to from the Service. We encourage you to learn about their privacy and security practices and policies before providing them with personal information.


We take measures designed to protect your information in an effort to prevent loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. Please be aware, however, that despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable and no method of data transmission can be guaranteed against any interception or other type of misuse. To protect the confidentiality of information maintained in your account, you must keep your password confidential and not disclose it to any other person. You are responsible for all uses of the Site and the Apps by any person using your password. Please advise us immediately if you believe your password has been misused.


Persons under the age of 13, or any higher minimum age in the jurisdiction where that person resides, are not permitted to create accounts unless their parent has consented in accordance with applicable law. If we learn that we have collected the personal information of a child under the relevant minimum age without parental consent, we will take steps to delete the information as soon as possible. You may “opt out” of receiving marketing or promotional emails from us by following the instructions in those emails. If you opt out, we may still send you non-promotional emails, such as emails about your accounts or our ongoing business relations.

We reserve the right to change the provisions of this Policy at any time. We encourage you to review this Policy from time to time to make sure that you understand how any information you provide will be used. Your continued use of the Service following the posting of changes to these terms will mean you accept those changes.
